This tutorial focused on planning the physical model and exploring how water management systems could be represented through the model-making process. The session investigated how the model could communicate the movement of water across the site, materiality, planting areas, and the tensile canopy structures.
The sketches explored both the conceptual layout of the model and the physical materials required to represent the landscape proposal accurately at model scale.
How water flows through the site
Representation of drainage channels and ponds
Layering and materiality within the model
Physical representation of the tensile canopy structures
Relationship between hard landscape, planting, and water systems
