Week 23 – Hard Material Selection & Refinement

The session involved revisiting the previously developed hard materials plan and testing alternative material combinations across the site. Attention was given to how texture, colour, and surface finishes could create hierarchy within the public realm and improve the overall atmosphere of the proposal.

The development of the material palette aimed to create a balance between:

• Functional circulation routes

• Social gathering spaces

• Water management requirements

• Visual identity of the market environment
